Kronborg is a Renaissance castle and military fortress, renovated between 1574 and 1585 on the remains of the Krogen fortress of 1420. Reconstructed after a major fire in 1629, where only the chapel survived. Located in Helsingør (Elsinore), Kronborg Castle is the setting of Shakespeare's "The Tragedy of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark".
