Bourges Cathedral, France

Construction of the Cathedral of Saint-Etienne in Bourges started in 1195, in Gothic style, on the site of a former Romanesque cathedral. The north tower (on the left of the west facade) collapsed in 1506, and was rebuilt higher than the previous one. Bourges has been an Episcopal See since the 3rd century.
