The construction of the Romanesque church of Saint Savin started in the 11th century. The belltower and its spire were built in the 14th century.
The church contains extensive and well preserved early 12th century mural paintings, with representations of biblical scenes. The Crypt contains paintings of the lives of Saint Savin and Saint Cyprian.
